SSA claim closure procedure is different from other schemes.
1. Claim closure application
- All Schemes Other than SSA : No separate account closure form is required, claim form (form11) will be treated as account closure voucher.
- For SSA claim closure: In the event of death of the account holder, the account shall be closed immediately on application in Account Closure Form SB-7B
2. In case of the death of a minor:
All Schemes Other than SSA
- If there is no nomination in force : Amount shall be paid to the Guardian after obtaining death certificate of Minor
- If the nomination is in force: Amount shall be paid to the nominee after obtaining death certificate of
Minor
For SSA account
- Amount shall be paid to the Guardian after obtaining death certificate of Minor and Account Closure Form. For both nomination registered or no nomination category
