GDS Recruitment 2026 में कौन-कौन से पद हैं?
1. Branch Postmaster – BPM
BPM को Branch Post Office के दैनिक postal operations तथा
India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) से संबंधित कार्यों की जिम्मेदारी
दी जाती है।
BPM को postal products और services के marketing तथा customer
service से संबंधित कार्य भी करने पड़ सकते हैं।
BPM के लिए Branch Post Office के accommodation से संबंधित
notification में निर्धारित शर्तों का पालन करना आवश्यक है।
2. Assistant Branch Postmaster – ABPM
ABPM के कार्यों में postage और stationery की बिक्री,
door-to-door delivery, account office से mail exchange तथा
IPPB transactions से संबंधित कार्य शामिल हो सकते हैं।
ABPM, BPM को postal operations में सहायता करता है और Department
द्वारा दिए गए products तथा services के promotion से संबंधित
कार्य भी कर सकता है।
3. Dak Sevak
Dak Sevak को Post Offices, Sorting Offices, Mail Offices,
Transit Mail Offices, Delivery Centres अथवा Department के
अन्य offices में लगाया जा सकता है।
Dak Sevak के कार्यों में mail delivery, postage/stationery sale,
IPPB transactions, mail bag और parcel handling तथा Department
द्वारा सौंपे गए अन्य कार्य शामिल हो सकते हैं।
GDS Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
उम्मीदवार के पास किसी मान्यता प्राप्त Board से 10वीं कक्षा की
Secondary School Examination (SSE) पास certificate होना चाहिए।
- 10वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण होना आवश्यक है।
- Mathematics में passing marks होने चाहिए।
- English में passing marks होने चाहिए।

कम से कम 10वीं कक्षा तक पढ़ा होना चाहिए।

Selected candidates को appointment के समय prescribed undertaking
के माध्यम से इन requirements से संबंधित declaration देना होगा।
GDS Salary / TRCA 2026
GDS को Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) के आधार पर
payment किया जाता है। Applicable conditions के अनुसार TRCA में
annual increase तथा Department द्वारा घोषित अन्य allowances
लागू होते हैं।

GDS Service Conditions
- GDS की service conditions regular Central Government employees से अलग हैं।
- GDS, GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020 के अंतर्गत आते हैं।
- Duty सामान्यतः minimum 4 hours और maximum 5 hours per day की होती है।
- 65 वर्ष की आयु के बाद GDS के रूप में continuation नहीं होता।

source रखने से संबंधित prescribed conditions का पालन करना होता है।
GDS Vacancy 2026 Details
Notification के Annexure-I में Division-wise vacancy details
के लिए Office Name, Post ID, TRCA Account/Record Office,
Language, PIN Code और category-wise vacancy details के
columns दिए गए हैं।
Vacancy details में UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS और PwBD categories
शामिल हैं।
Important:
Actual Division-wise vacancy/post information official GDS
portal पर उपलब्ध होगी। उम्मीदवार को आवेदन करते समय अपने
Circle, Division, Office और Post ID को carefully check करना चाहिए।
GDS Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
जहाँ application fee लागू है, वहाँ candidate को prescribed
application fee का payment करना होगा।

GDS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
GDS selection system-generated merit list के आधार पर किया जाता है।
Merit recognised Board की 10वीं Secondary School Examination में
प्राप्त marks/grades/points को prescribed procedure के अनुसार
marks में convert करके तैयार की जाती है।
10th Marks Based Merit
उम्मीदवारों के 10वीं के marks selection में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका
निभाते हैं। अलग competitive examination के बजाय notification
में prescribed merit procedure के आधार पर selection किया जाता है।

GDS Merit Tie-Breaking Rule
यदि दो या अधिक candidates के marks समान होते हैं, तो notification
में निर्धारित priority order के अनुसार merit तय की जाएगी।
Prescribed priority में Date of Birth यानी अधिक आयु को priority
दी जाती है, जिसके बाद notification में दी गई category और
gender-related priority लागू होती है।
Important:
Tie की स्थिति में Department को additional criteria लागू करने
का अधिकार है और Department का decision final होगा।
GDS Post Preference कैसे काम करती है?
Candidate available eligible posts के लिए अपनी preference order
दे सकता है।
यदि candidate merit के आधार पर एक से अधिक preferred posts के लिए
suitable पाया जाता है, तो prescribed preference order के अनुसार
suitable post offer किया जा सकता है और अन्य preferences के लिए
candidature समाप्त हो सकती है।
Tip:
Post ID, Office और preference order भरते समय बहुत सावधानी रखें।

GDS application online mode में submit किया जाएगा।
One-Time Registration करें
Official GDS portal पर जाकर candidate registration शुरू करें।
Active mobile number और email ID रखें।
Mobile और Email Verify करें
OTP verification पूरा करें और registration details carefully
भरें।
Registration Number सुरक्षित रखें
Successful registration के बाद generated registration
number को सुरक्षित रखें।
Online Application भरें
Personal details, 10th Board details, passing year,
marks/grades, Circle/Division और post preferences भरें।
Photograph और Signature Upload करें
Notification में दिए गए size, format और image requirements
के अनुसार recent photograph और signature upload करें।

Final submission से पहले नाम, DOB, parents’ names,

GDS Document Verification के लिए Documents
Application submit करते समय सामान्य documents upload करने के
बजाय selection के बाद physical verification के समय prescribed
documents प्रस्तुत करने होते हैं।

GDS Selection के बाद Document Verification
Selected candidates को result और physical verification की
information registered mobile number और email पर दी जा सकती है।
Candidates को official portal नियमित रूप से check करने की सलाह दी गई है।
15 Days Rule:
Selected candidate को selection की तारीख से 15 दिनों के भीतर
designated authority के सामने physical document verification
के लिए उपस्थित होना होगा।
निर्धारित समय में उपस्थित नहीं होने पर candidate को absent mark
किया जा सकता है और candidature cancellation की स्थिति उत्पन्न
हो सकती है।
Successful document verification के बाद provisional engagement
offer जारी किया जा सकता है।
Joining:
Provisional engagement offer की तारीख से निर्धारित 30 दिनों के
भीतर joining-related formalities पूरी करनी होती हैं, जिसमें
prescribed basic training आदि शामिल हो सकते हैं।
GDS Application Correction Window 2026
Online application की अंतिम तारीख के बाद application में
correction/editing के लिए 2 दिनों की window दी गई है।

DigiLocker और Marksheet Verification
Department उपलब्ध होने पर API Setu, DigiLocker अथवा Education
Board की official website के माध्यम से 10वीं के documents
verify कर सकता है।
इसलिए candidates को अपने DigiLocker account में applicable
documents properly available रखने की सलाह दी जाती है।

यदि online available marksheet/document और application में
